Boudhanath which is located on northeast side of the valley is a very beautiful place to visit. This place is a center of Tibetan culture in Nepal. Boudhanath is a worshipping place for Buddhist people and therefore has a lot of religious and cultural value. It is considered as a scared place among Buddhist. The 36-meter-high stupa of Bouddhanath is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. It is also enlisted in world heritage site by UNESCO. Bouddhanath Stupa was renovated by Licchavi rulers in the eighth century. The mandala design in Bouddhanath is a copy of the one in Gyangtse in Tibet but is worth watching.

General description of Trek

Day Hiking trip to Boudhanath starts after the breakfast, towards north east side of the valley. The stupa is located in the area of ancient trade route to Tibet where Tibetan merchants rested and offered prayers for many centuries. Hence you will feel some Tibetan surrounding and Tibetan culture. We will pass from Boudhanath gate and explore the surrounding. The place consists of other small stupas and a monastery. Day tour to Boudhanath offers you with sightseeing of the amazing Boudhanath stupa itself, some other small stupas, Gompa monasteries, idols of Lord Buddha, curio shops, restaurants and much more.
