Driving time: 3 to 4 hours from Kathmandu We travel from Kathmandu or Pokhara to the rafting starting point at Charaudi by bus or Micro-Van to meet our raft crew where the leader will brief you about safety procedures. During your rafting experience you will encounter several large and small rapids but the main interest is between Majhimtar and the ‘Upset’ rapid. According to the Colorado River rating scale this rapid has been rated from 3 to 4. All tricky rapids bear Nepali names as well as descriptive names, which you will be told by your rafting guide. Lunch will be taken beside the river just before going through the ‘Upset’ rapids. Shortly after lunch we will encounter another rapid known as ‘Surprise’. It is indeed, for the current accelerates and the rapids increase in size and frequency. We camp overnight at Kuringhat.
After breakfast, we will continue rafting, encountering ‘Mugling’ and ‘Simaltal’ rapids and pass the Marshyangdi River, which has flowed down from the Manang valley. This concludes your white water rafting experience with Malung Treks; then return to Kathmandu or Pokhara
