General description of Tour
After your breakfast you will drive to Bhaktapur with private car and your driver will drop you to the entrance of Bhaktapur and wait for you at the same spot until you get back for your next destination. From the parking lot, you will have to walk towards Bhaktapur Durbar Square just before entrance you will get entry permit and get in to square area. It is a very beautiful ancient city full of ancient artifacts, monuments, idols temples and palaces. Here you will see the “55 Windows Palace”, the stone temple of Batsala Devi, the Lion Gate, the statue of king Bhupatindra Malla, the picture gallery and you will visit two more square that is Taumadi square where The Nyatpol Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Lakshmi, lies in this square. Another is Dattatreya Square where many of Bhaktapur’s Hindu monasteries, called maths, as well as temples and museums are laid. The three-story pagoda-style Dattatreya Temple, with statues of the Hindu trinity, was built by King Yaksha Malla in 1428. It is claimed that the building was constructed from a single piece of wood from one tree. After visiting all around you will drive to Patan Durbar Square, a beautiful city full of Hindu temples, Buddhist monuments and structures with bronze gateways, guardian deities and wonderful metal and woodcarvings. In Patan you can have a view of great and beautiful temples such as Bhimsen Temple, Vishwanath Temple, Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple, Mahaboudha Temple – the temple of 1000 Buddha and much more to discover and drive back to Kathmandu for a night stay.
